Abstract

After 37 years in a rapidly evolving field, the author highlights the present and future trends that the contemporary lab animal professional must grapple with. In the spirit of this discussion, the editors have also compiled profiles of seven dedicated professionals who have successfully met the challenge of finding an individual career niche.
