Abstract
Wawowae is a village in Ngada Regency within ± 350 km from the provincial capital with potential resources, namely coffee plantations. 50% of ± 978 areas of Wawowae Village are coffee plantations, while the rests are community settlements and Nature Reserve Forests. Processing of coffee spindles becomes conventional HS coffee through 3 stages, namely stripping, fermentation/washing and drying. Problems in the management of wawowae coffee, namely the omission of growth, the lack of processing infrastructure and the length of the drying process have the effect of decreasing the quality of HS coffee when sold. With the method of counseling and mechanization, it is possible to increase coffee production, increase human resources, improve people's welfare and prepare for Wawowae Village as an icon of coffee management in East Nusa Tenggara. Counseling was carried out in theory and field practice involving groups of coffee farmers in Wawowae. While the development of a coffee processing machine consists of a coffee fruit peeler and a fermentation machine. Pest management is carried out in 3 ways, namely in technical, biological and physical culture. Testing machines using raw materials from coffee harvested by farmers. The results of dedication show that there is a good understanding of pest management in coffee plants and an increase in the processing of coffee into coffee HS is ready to sell
