Abstract
Purpose: The objective was to evaluate the spatial variability of soybean productivity and its correlation with chemical attributes and soil texture. Method/design/approach: The experiment was carried out in a commercial area of grain production, using georeferenced soil analyzes to analyze granulometry and chemical attributes, satellite images to calculate vegetation indices and harvest maps for productivity. All spatial distribution maps were interpolated using Kriging. Results and conclusion: It was observed that there is spatial variability in soil texture and chemical attributes, as well as soybean productivity. The positive correlation between sand and productivity demonstrates that soils with higher concentrations of sand can achieve good productivity. The liming and fertilization recommendation maps at varying rates allow the application of inputs more effectively, reducing production costs for the producer and reducing the environmental impacts caused by the use of chemical fertilizers. Research implications: the research demonstrated the importance of using precision agriculture to increase crop productivity. Originality/value: with this study it is possible to disseminate to the scientific community and rural producers the applications and benefits of precision agriculture.
