Abstract

With the development of computers and the continuous progress of speech recognition technology, the use of computer-assisted language learning (CALL) system for self-study of English has become an important way for students to learn English. This paper proposes an advanced scoring mechanism for spoken English self-learning system incorporating artificial intelligence technology and speech knowledge recognition algorithm. This new mechanism aims to use intelligent technology to more accurately assess students' oral expression skills and provide them with more personalised and targeted learning support.
