Abstract
Degelia crustacea and Fuscopannaria subimmixta are reported as new to South America, the latter also extending to South Africa, an unusual distribution pattern. It also differs in being a species of soils and rocks; the two belong in quite different ecogeographical elements. © 2002 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
