Abstract

Background: Eradication of root canal infection using chemo-mechanical preparation is of prime importance to remove vital or necrotic tissues from root canal system. Persistent periradicular lesions are usually associated with Enterococccus faecalis. Numerous solutions have been used in endodontics to achieve the desired chemical effect and smear layer removal.
