Abstract

Background:Bronchopneumonia is a type of pneumonia, an infection that causes inflammation of the lungs caused by a virus, bacteria, or fungus which is the biggest cause of death for lower airway disease that attacks infants and children. According to one study, it is estimated that pneumonia occurs mostly in infants less than 2 months, therefore treatment of pneumonia sufferers can reduce child mortality. Objective: The authors aim to discuss and examine the application of nursing care with a focus on the ineffectiveness of airway clearance in patients with bronchopneumonia. Method: the method used is descriptive method that is systematically describing managed cases. Results: the results of the study were obtained during the 3x24 hour nursing care problem, the problem of the ineffectiveness of the airway cleaning can be resolved by the criteria set by the results of the implementation carried out have a response that shows the client's development. Conclusion: the ineffectiveness of airway cleaning for patients with bronchopneumonia is very important for it is expected that nurses can give more attention to the cleaning of the patient's airway so that they can provide nursing action as soon as possible.
