Abstract
This work continues the study of the architecture formation and urban planning in China in the context of intercultural interaction in the second half of the 19th – first half of the 20th century. The article identifies and defines the urban planning structure of Shenyang and the peculiarities of the formation of its planning structure in the first half of the 20th century. The research question of this work is devoted to the analysis of the main stages of the urban planning structure development and to the city development analysis in the context of political regime changes and the application of various approaches to urban design of various architectural schools. Classical methods of urban analysis (compositional, morphological) were applied, aimed at identifying the main patterns of urban development of the city, which, coupled with the hypothetical-deductive method and mapping, made it possible to create a theoretical model of city development.
