Children with cystic fibrosis are usually admitted to the hospital many times through their lives. This study aims to know the perceptions of these children towards the multiple hospital admissions, as well to identify what they realize about the treatment and the care they get. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The study subjects were seven children who suffer from cystic fibrosis, at ages between 6 and 11. The data are collected at a pediatrics unit of a general hospital, by means of a focused semi-structrured interviews, and analyzed through the comprehensive analysis. The result of this study show that children value their freedom, but it is very restricted during the time they are in the hospital, which can be softed through our listening, comprehension and attention.
