Abstract

Today's global market, commercial and modern industrial organizations must develop better methods of assessing organizational performance and growth than simply using performance measures. Innovation has long been recognized as a critical component of SME competitiveness and sustainability (SMEs). The research focused on is to solve the problem of growth and remain in competitive market of SMEs by employing a technique such as Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). AHP frequently presents problems to decision makers (DMs) with multiple criteria. The proposed model is based on three main criteria of SMEs' growth; Innovative Business Environments (IBE), Technology Adoption (TECH) and Organizational Capacity (OC)with ten sub-criteria (Barriers) [(IBE1,2,3), (TECH1,2,3) and Organizational Capacity (OC1,2,3,4) versus four Alternatives to Select the Optimal Solutions for Problem of SMEs’ Growth by using Innovation (INNV1,2,3,4). This study illustrated the gaps of barriers against TECH, IBE and OC which faces SMEs' growth from firm’s point of view. The final results, the highest effects criteria were IBE (3942.6) then OC (3787.7), while optimal solutions for adoption it, INNV1 (3792.11) then INNV2 (4153.12). Based on these findings, the preferred solution (INNV1&2) will be chosen in the decision-making process for SMEs' growth, so INNV2 is the best. The above-mentioned solution was ranked based on a number of criteria and sub-criteria that influence the best choice of SMEs' growth. These study results will aid the decision maker in making more reliable decisions when using a computational process to choose one or more of the alternatives.
