Abstract

In this paper we explore the hypothesis of psychedelics widening our representational faculties and, hence, our moral faculties too. In this way, we will deal with the problem posed by Günther Anders on Die Antiquiertheit des Menschen in which he asserted that "inasmuch as we want everything not to go bad, the critical present task is the education of moral fantasy". Before exposing this issue, we will reflect on the andersian idea that raises it, the promethean gap, in order to examine the adequacy of our approach.
