Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is one of the global health burdens associated with inadequate management. Self-management is a pivot of diabetes management. It has been estimated that more than one-quarter of the admissions in Nigeria hospital is as a result of diabetes complication. The study assessed nursing intervention on knowledge and skill of self-management among diabetic patients attending medical outpatient clinics in two tertiary hospitals, Ondo State, Nigeria.
