Abstract

The OPD-CA Conflict Questionnaire (OPD-CA-CQ) assesses intrapsychic conflicts according to the Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnosis in Childhood and Adolescence (OPD-CA-2) in a simple and time-efficient way. The questionnaire exists in two versions: as a self-report measure for adolescents and as an informant-report measure for therapists. We examined the psychometric criteria of the questionnaire (internal consistency, construct validity, convergent validity) in a sample of adolescent inpatients. Overall, results were heterogeneous: Some scales of the questionnaire seem to be suitable for assessing the corresponding intrapsychic conflicts, while others require a critical review. Particularly the conflict scales closeness vs. distance and submission vs. control need revision.
