Educación laica en el sistema educativo mexicano: entre la omisión, la ambigüedad y el conflicto.

Abstract

Resumen. El propósito del presente artículo es ofrecer algunas reflexiones sobre la evolución que ha experimentado la educación laica en México en la parte normativa en contraste con la incomprensión de ésta por parte de los sujetos en sus relaciones educativas. Ante el pluralismo religioso creciente en la sociedad actual, los retos para el Estado laico y sus instituciones públicas (educativas y de salud entre otras) son múltiples y complejos, en el sentido de garantizar el ejercicio de los derechos y libertades fundamentales de todos los individuos con la finalidad de promover el respeto de creencias, llámense religiosas, agnósticas, ateas o ejercicio de convicciones filosóficas, así como de propiciar, sin distinción, la convivencia de los ciudadanos en la vida pública.Abstract. The purpose of this article is to offer some reflections about evolution that laïque education in Mexico has had in the regulations in contrast with the lack of understanding by subjects in their educational relationships. Facing the growing religious pluralism in current society, the challenges for a laïque State and its public institutions (educational and health among others) are numerous and complex, in the sense that a guarantee is needed to the exercise of the fundamental rights and liberties of all the individuals with the objective of promoting the respect of beliefs that could be religious, agnostics, atheistic, as well as the practice of philosophical convictions with the aim of favor the coexistence of citizens in public life without distinction.
