Abstract

The complexity subsurface conditions of the earth are fascinating to study. Information on subsurface conditions can be used in various scientific fields. The information on subsurface conditions provides an overview of the characteristics of each rock layer. Geoelectric method used in this research to determine subsurface conditions. The geoelectric method uses electrical properties, namely rock resistivity. Field data analysis is carried out by flowing electric currents below the surface and measuring the potential differences that arise. The electrode configuration used is the Wenner configuration which produces a 2D subsurface resistivity cross section. Based on the 2D subsurface resistivity cross section, it is known that the subsurface layer of the study area is dominated by a clay layer filled with sand with a resistivity value of 10-31 Ωm spread across all measurement lines. There is also a layer of clay saturated by water with a resistivity of 1-10 Ωm which only exists in the first pass at a depth of 5-18 m below the surface. In accordance with the geological conditions in the research area, there are also coal inserts, this can be seen in the first and second trajectories with resistivity values> 90 Ωm. Subsurface information data from research results can be used as supporting data in preparation for development and minimizing the impact of natural disasters.
