Abstract

The paper deals with characteristics of psychological and pedagogical support of children with special needs. The main attention is paid to the formation of harmonised personality despite the physical disabilities. The topicality of the subject is conditioned with the constant increase of the number of children with special needs, and the need for their entering to society, affording possibilities for access to education and field of professional activities. The purpose of the paper is the research of the characteristics of psychological and pedagogical support of children with special needs. The conducted research provided diagnostics of the maturity level of key life children with special needs competences. A special training course was developed, the implementation of which will contribute the further successful socialisation of children with special needs. The prospects of further researches in this area provides development and implementation of a system of individual lessons for different aged children with special needs. The practical value of this research is the extension of the spectrum of practical researches in the area of possibilities' enhancement for children with special needs.
