Abstract

A technique is described in which material was obtained from the anterior chamber in 15 cases of suspected epithelial downgrowth and prepared as a permanent specimen for diagnostic study. Although the early clinical signs of epithelial downgrowth are usually characteristic and unmistakable, the method of obtaining material from the anterior chamber herein described may be helpful in obtaining histologic proof of the condition in certain cases. © 1966.
