Abstract

The paper considers the present state of radiation therapy for prostate cancer. It describes different radiotherapy technologies. There are data on the comparative efficiency and safety of various dose fractionation regimens. Based on the results of prospective and retrospective studies, the authors formulate indications for choosing optimal therapeutic approaches in relation to the biologi-cal characteristics and extent of a tumor process.
