Abstract

The exhibition of regular temporal variations by pump-probe signals was discussed. The signals obtained from femtosecond excitation of iodine molecule exhibited a regular oscillatory behavior depending on the parameters of pump laser pulses. The respective structures were correlated to temporal variations of a probability density and the classical motion. The characterization of structures appearing in the time-dependent wave function was allowed by the use of time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy.
