Abstract
The research is done to study the effectiveness of the STEM interdisciplinary module, Malaysian(M)-Biotechnology-STEM in improving students' achievement in the topic biotechnology in secondary school. 139 respondents from schools that offer Form 4 additional science in Selangor participated in the study. The effectiveness of the module in improving students' achievement is tested with a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent group pre-test and post-test. The findings are analysed using two-way ANOVA test. It was found that there was no significant difference between group and gender towards the mean score of achievement test after intervention with the module. However, the feedback from the students in the qualitative analysis showed that students' interest in learning biotechnology has improved with the implementation of the M-Biotek-STEM module.
