Abstract
In 1970, while I was attending the Second Seminar on Indonesian National History held in Yogyakarta (from 26th to 29th August): Mr. Siswanto2 reported the finding of an inscription at Sarawaden, in the Regency of Klaten in 5011th Central Java. On August 30th, 1970, the day after the Seminar ended, I went there by motorcycle with Sumartono, a nephew of mine. Sarawaden is a small village lying within easy reach, some five kilometres north of Klaten on the western side of the road running to Jatinom (see map) .
