Abstract
The news of the attack on the Indonesian National Police Headquarters (Police Headquarters) in online media caused controversial comments among terrorism observers. This is related to the protrusion of issues constructed by the media regarding the attachment of the "terrorist" label to the perpetrator of the attack on Zakiah Aini. Some observers said that the attack was an act of terrorism, but there were also observers who commented that the attack should not be speculated too quickly into an act of terrorism. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative method with a framing approach to the analysis of the Robert N. Entman model on the online media Tribunnews.com and Republika.co.id which reports on the attack on the Indonesian National Police Headquarters by Zakiah Aini. The purpose of the study was to analyze the framing that was built in the Tribunnews.com and Republika.co.id media related to the news of the attack at the Police Headquarters and was expected to be a control for the two online media studied, especially in terms of media subjectivity. The results showed that the frames built by the two online media were very different. The frame built by Tribunnews.com is ideological stigmatic terrorism, namely the action was carried out because of an ideology under the pretext of jihad, while Republika.co.id led to shooting incidents. This study shows that the ideology brought by each media contributes to the construction of news.
