Abstract
Starting with α-cluster wave functions, angular momentum projection before (PB) and after (PA) variation yields excitation energies of light 4N nuclei in good agreement with experiment. In contrast to PA, the results of PB show more pronounced α-clustering and a cut-off in rotational bands. © 1971.
