Abstract
Agro industries like banana processing result in large amount of waste generation and they are usually dumped causing serious environmental pollution. Since wastes putrid organic wastes, ideal for anaerobic digestion. Hence utilizing these biogas production is a sustainable way deriving energy from so that the two major concerns, demand protection achieved. The paper describes analysis physico-chemical characteristics viz. peel, pseudo stem fruit bunch stem. Also were tested its potential through batch digestion experimental setup. characterization study showed biomethanation characteristics, total solids volatile concentration to be range 14 19% 10.1 14.63% respectively. From study, specific (l/kg feed) was found around 0.35 l/kg/day also combination 75% mashed peel with 25% cow dung best results higher gas 3.85 l. characteristic indicated as an effective feedstock production.
