Abstract

Usability standards play an important role in Europe, where companies are legally obligated to ensure that the workplace meets software ergonomic standards. Therefore, usability can be a critical factor in a company's decision about which enterprise software solution to implement. In this paper, we provide a real-world case study where meeting ISO standards and providing usability data to a customer heavily influenced a competitive sales deal. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
