Abstract
The wave of e-commerce has well and truly hit retail markets, particularly those selling small, easily distributed commodities. People like to use the Web because it is convenient and can provide lots of information to help make informed purchasing choices. As people become more comfortable with the Web and governments promote its use, people will increasingly compare products and services internationally. More and more purchases will be across international borders. As these new companies see more new customers, the strategy has to be to somehow lock in the customers to the services.
