Abstract
Tarsal tunnel syndrome represents an entrapment neuropathy, which is rare, insufficiently diagnosed and often confused with other clinical conditions. There are contradictions in diagnosing and treating the most frequently observed entrapment neuropathy of the foot. Treatment includes conservative methods such as analgesics and physical therapy and rehabilitation or surgical procedures. In this chapter, the etiology, pathophysiology, diagnostic methods, and treatments of tarsal tunnel syndrome are reviewed by employing a systematic approach.
