Abstract

Naturalism flourished for the first time in France especially among Emile Zola and in his followers. Many European and American writers were influenced by this school and used its techniques in their writing. One of the main concerns of naturalists is the question of heredity and environment. Many naturalists focused on natural selection to analyze their society. This article intends to shed light on Sadeq Choobak's naturalism and the way he used natural selection in The Cage. © 2012 ACADEMY PUBLISHER Manufactured in Finland.
