Abstract

The use of marijuana by children in North America and its potential impairment on their health and school performance is cause for concern among parents and teachers. This study examines childhood cannabis use in cross‐cultural perspective, exploring the ideology and behavior surrounding childhood marijuana use in Jamaica, and the way in which it is articulated with the domestic and school life of children in two rural working class communities.
