Abstract
Infectious waste is one type of waste that contains or is contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria and others and can transmit diseases to humans. The high number of Covid-19 sufferers in Indonesia has forced the Indonesian government to oblige all people to use masks and other personal protective equipment. This results in an increase in infectious waste generated from these activities. One of the villages that has the potential to cause high cases of Covid-19 transmission is Warugunung Village. Based on the research that has been done in the village, the level of public knowledge of infectious waste is quite high. However, in the handling, only 34% of respondents carry out handling of infectious waste prior to disposal, while the other 66% do not carry out handling. This is due to a lack of knowledge about the need of infectious waste
