Abstract

This is an exploratory study of metrics application in the archives context, generating performance/quality indicators for decision making. This study aims at debating about how archivometrics should be structured, and focuses on the timeline of metrics studies, covering the culmination, in 1994, of the applicability in the archives along with the evolution of Brazilian experiences on this matter from 2011 on, also working with the statistics of documental processes and archivometrics practices.
