Introduction to the topical issue on laser dynamics and nonlinear photonics

Abstract

This topical issue highlights some of the latest research in nonlinear dynamics of photonics devices and novel properties of optical materials that can result from their nonlinear response to light. In this introductory article we comment on some of the challenges in the field. We also discuss and summarize the work presented in the contributed articles to this topical issue and its related workshop. © EDP Sciences.
