Abstract

Yield potential of six high ranking wheat varieties was determined in the light of wisdom described in the Holy Quran, using grain yield determining formula. The grain yield calculated is seven times less than the Holy Quranic predicted wheat yield. One reason of low wheat yield might be the lack of production of predicted fertile tillers (ears) containing 100 grains in the cultivated varieties. Second reason in our opinion is lack of efficient wheat production technologies for getting the Holy Quranic predicted yield of 70 t haG 1 .
