Abstract

Wae Rebo, a village in East Nusa Tenggara, is renowned for its ability to preserve local traditions in customs, architecture, and lifestyle. This uniqueness attracts both domestic and international tourists. This study aims to analyze the local cultural factors influencing the interest of domestic tourists in visiting Wae Rebo, focusing on three main variables: ideas, activities, and artifacts. A quantitative method was employed using a simple random sampling technique, involving 100 respondents who had visited the village. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between local cultural factors and tourists' revisit intention. The results indicate that all three cultural variables significantly influence tourist interest, with activities and artifacts having a more dominant impact. These findings highlight that local culture plays a crucial role in tourism attractiveness and can serve as a key element in developing culture-based tourism in Wae Rebo. Therefore, preserving and promoting local culture is essential to enhancing tourist appeal and supporting sustainable tourism in the village.
