Abstract

In order to understand public policies tor local rural development for capitalized family producers in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires we analyzed in the Saropalca market in Morón, province of Buenos Aires, the implementation of the Rural Change Program of the National Institute of Agricultural Technology and inter-institutional and multi-stakeholder articulations developed during the pandemic. We use qualitative methodology with ethnographic field work, based on interviews and analysis of secondary data from bibliographic sources and national statistics. We conclude that the productive sector of Family Farming despite its relative informality, should be considered for its contribution to local development.
