Abstract

Highlights Coiled PCL microfibers were fabricated using a PCL/alginate solution and specific printing parameters. The coiled fibers demonstrated greater elasticity compared to straight microfibers. The coiled fibers significantly enhanced the mechanotransduction of hASCs compared to cells cultured on straight fibers. The coiled fibers exhibited superior cell proliferation, increased cytoskeletal tension, and enhanced osteogenic activities in hASCs compared to straight fibers.
