Abstract
This chapter describes configuration options that can be used together with the three basic elements: config file, population and network. Part II discusses various options to extend MATSim beyond these three elements, sometimes using only additional files, or using additional JAR files beyond the MATSim core JAR file, by writing “scripts in Java” or by adding or replacing functionality. MATSim writes configuration files in several locations; for example, in the logfile, in the iteration output directory, or with the CreateFullConfig functionality described in Section 2.1.3.
