Abstract
A novel method for determination of rhodamine B (Rh B) was proposed based on a glassy carbon electrode modified graphene oxide quantum dots (GOQDs/GCE). Compared with that on the bare GCE, the oxidation peak current of Rh B increased significantly and the oxidation over potential decreased on the GOQDs/GCE, indicating that the GOQDs have a good catalytic effect on the electrochemical oxidation of Rh B. Under the optimal conditions, the oxidation current of Rh B showed a good linear relationship with its concentration in the range of 5.0 ~ 50.0 μM with the correlation coefficient (R) of 0.9955, and the detection limit of 0.80 μM was obtained (S/N = 3). The proposed sensor can be used for detection of Rh B in chilli powder with the advantages of good stability and satisfactory percent recovery.
