Abstract

The objective of this study is to review some relevant jurisprudence from constitutional justice on implementation of economic, social and cultural rights. The work examines recent cases in Latin American constitutional jurisprudence on the social rights. This work reviews some general standards in the field of economic, social and cultural rights in the international law; analyzes some prominent cases in Latin American jurisprudence; establishes the manner in which this interpretation enriches rights and, finally, reviews the scope of this discussion in Chile and some interesting trends in hermeneutic and jurisprudence.
