The Role of Sharia Banking in the Development of the Halal Tourism Industry in Indonesia: Opportunities and Challenges in Bengkulu Province

Abstract

This study aims to look at the role of Islamic banking in the development of halal tourism in Indonesia in the perspective of opportunities and challenges. This research uses a qualitative method using a descriptive analytical approach. This research was conducted with a literature study and analysed with several stages, namely classifying, reducing, and verifying the sources of research on halal tourism. The results showed that Islamic banking has a very strong role in terms of developing the halal tourism industry. Islamic banking must assess both the opportunities and challenges of halal tourism potential in Indonesia
