Abstract

Cross-sections and rate coefficients have been calculated for rotational transitions between levels J ≤ 20 of HCO+, induced by collisions with ground state (J = 0) para-H2. Results were obtained for temperatures in the range 10 ≤ T ≤ 400 K, extending previous work by Monteiro, who considered T ≤ 30 K and presented rate coefficients for J ≤ 4. Good agreement is obtained with the results of Monteiro at low temperatures.
