Abstract

This paper presents a high torque mass ratio electromagnetic actuator which works with two differents coupling of the air gap magnetic field. The first one is a polar coupling as for the conventional synchronous machines and the secondth is tooth coupling as for the Vernier machines. ©2007 IEEE.
