Abstract
Aortic aneurysms are rare in children and are often associated with connective tissue disorders. Because prosthetic valves are problematic in the young, operations that preserve the native aortic valve are attractive. This article describes an operative technique for valve sparing aortic root replacement that is simple and reproducible, and has probvided durable results at mid-term follow-up. © 2012 Elsevier Inc..
