Abstract

In the dynamic landscape of information security, the foundation of password protection faces increasing challenges due to advancing technology. Acknowledging the paramount importance of preserving confidential data, this paper delves into the multifaceted challenges caused by the increasingly sophisticated landscape of password policies. Pioneering a transformative approach, we propose an innovative method in this paper - advocating for a dynamic password policy that challenges the existing static model. This groundbreaking framework surpasses mere authentication reinforcement; it empowers users with unprecedented control, shifting the authority over password policy decisions from centralized platforms to individual end-users. Moving away from the traditional focus on password strength, our proposed method, combined with a robust policy, not only enhances authentication but also serves as a resilient defense against various cyber threats. Fueled by the ongoing pursuit of balance between security, usability, and functionality, this paper invites readers on a compelling journey through the intricate landscape of cybersecurity. It explores the dynamic forces shaping the field, providing detailed insights and a comprehensive understanding for those navigating the complicated realms of contemporary information security.
