Abstract

This research delves into the impact of excessive technological use, particularly mobile devices, on the development of children and adolescents. There is a growing concern about the negative effects of constant screen exposure, which go beyond distractions and sedentary behavior. The study provides an overview of the problem, highlighting how technological advancements and the increasing reliance on mobile devices have transformed how young people interact with the world. It analyzes changes in usage patterns and presents data revealing a correlation between screen time and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. Additionally, it explores the risks associated with cyberbullying, exposure to inappropriate content, and technology addiction. Thestudyalsofocusesonpotentialsolutions and recommendations to mitigate the negative effects ofexcessivetechnologyuse. Itsuggestsstrategiessuch as setting clear limits on screen time, creating device-free zones, educating children about safe technology use, and promoting healthy habits. It emphasizes the importance of parents serving as role models and establishing a balance between the digital world and real-world activities. In summary, this research highlights the importance of addressing the issue of excessive technology use in children and adolescents in a comprehensive manner.
