FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN MOTIVASI PETANI DALAM BERUSAHATANI JAGUNG DI DESA TABONGO TIMUR KECAMATAN TABONGO KABUPATEN GORONTALO

Abstract

This study aims todeterm ine the characteristic of farmers who cultivate corn in the village of East Tabongo and to determine the factors related to the motivation of farmers in cultivating corn in the village of East tabongo. This research will be conducted in East Tabongo Village in August 2022 and this researc is carried out using a survey researc method, namely direct6 research by interviewing using a questionnare to farmers. For the characteristics of farmers, researches used deskrptive analysis while for factors related to farmer motivation in farming, researchers used correlation analysis with spearman`s rank coefficient test. The population in this study were corn fermers in East Tabongo Village with 523 people. The sampling tecnique for this study used a simple random technique using the slovin formula to obtain a total sample of 41 people. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the characteristics of corn farmers in East Tabongo Village show an average age 48 years and the faktors related to the motivation of corn farmers in East Tabongo Village are 47,1% related to internal factors consisting of age, formal edication, non-formal education, land ownership status and external factors consisting of capitalavailability, market opportunities, farming risks, land potential suitability and local cultural suitabillity.
