Review on cleaning validation in pharmaceutical industry

Abstract

The purpose of this review is to provide information about importance of cleaning validation in pharmaceutical industry. It gives an insight on the various criteria to meet the regulatory requirements and the various cleaning agents used in pharmaceutical industries. It explains briefly about sampling methods and the methods of calculating acceptance criteria. Finally it provides the requirement for the documentation of the cleaning validation protocol.
