Abstract

Body Language in Business by Adrian Furnham and Evgeniya Petrova is about the signals people send and receive, the messages they transmit and decipher, and the statements they make about themselves nonverbally. The authors pose several questions throughout the book, such as what does it entail to communicate via body language, and what sort of information do people send, to whom, and under what circumstances? They also address issues of how body language can be used and abused, as well as the practical applications of body language in both the home and the workplace. The authors contend that a person’s awareness of and ability to manage his own body language and read the body language of others is the true heart of business success.
