Abstract
In this article we present the results of the investigation under the name of “Homophobic bullying and scholar dropout in High school. Experiences of male teenagers in Montevideo”. The same happened between 2016–2018. This work analyzes heteronormativity and institutional homophobia as conditions of education exclusion of teenagers in Highschool. The methodology design was of qualitative nature and of explorative type, based on Grounded Theory. Sample was composed of twenty teenagers. The results indicate there are different levels of structural heteronormativity in the educational system, especially in the private sector. The trajectory that LGBTI teenagers follow is paved with inequalities, educational exclusion is promoted by peers and the institution.
