Aspectos climaticos del parque del Retiro (Madrid)

Abstract

The influence of a green space on the central area of an urban heat island is analysed. The results indicate the city of Madrid is hotter and drier than the park, which canalises cold air through its low-lying areas. The vegetation produces a lower ambient temperature, the aquatic features of the park have little influence. -M.Dean
